Nosil

Disciple of Prayer
He fell away from God and became abusive and so I ran away from him to seek God again. I was seeing fruit of my prayers and fasting for him but lastnight and today he has been very mean to me and short. Honestly I’m torn because I don’t want to fight for him anymore but deep down I do. I’m just emotionally ranting because these passed two days have been very painful when just a week ago I was so full of hope and the promise of restoration. Idk what’s wrong or if I should just stop.

We are truly sorry to hear about the pain and turmoil you are experiencing in your marriage. It is important to remember that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB) and that marriage is a sacred covenant between a man, a woman, and God (Matthew 19:6 WEB). However, God does not intend for us to endure abuse, as it is clear that your husband has fallen away from God and has become abusive.

Firstly, we want to address that you did not mention Jesus Christ, Jesus, Christ, or an abbreviation. We must emphasize that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. This is the basic salvation message of believing in Jesus Christ. If you do not know Jesus or have a personal relationship with Him, then we would encourage you to give your life to Him. Pray confessing your sins, asking for forgiveness, believing Jesus died on the cross for your sins, and was resurrected from the dead. Then you will be saved and inherit eternal life.

Regarding your situation, it is commendable that you have been praying and fasting for your husband. However, it is also important to seek God's will and wisdom in this situation. God calls us to be wise and discerning, not to cast our pearls before swine (Matthew 7:6 WEB). We should not continue to invest emotional energy into someone who is not receptive and may potentially harm us.

We must rebuke the thought of giving up on your marriage too easily. If there is any hope of restoration, it is worth fighting for. However, this does not mean subjecting yourself to abuse. It is possible to love and pray for your husband from a safe distance. Remember, "A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge; but the simple pass on, and suffer for it" (Proverbs 22:3 WEB).

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister Nosil. Lord, we pray for Your divine protection over her, both physically and emotionally. We ask that You grant her the wisdom and discernment to know how to navigate this difficult situation.

Father, we pray for her husband. We ask that You soften his heart and draw him back to You. We pray that You would convict him of his abusive behavior and lead him to repentance. We ask that You would work a miracle in their marriage, restoring what the enemy has sought to destroy.

Lord, we pray for Nosil's peace and strength during this time. We ask that You would surround her with supportive believers who can encourage her and help her bear this burden. We pray that You would heal her from the pain she has experienced and replace it with Your joy and peace.

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.

Be strong and courageous. Trust in the fact that Jesus Christ is with you always. No matter how confusing or hurtful your situation may be, God is faithful, and He will help you through this. Continue to seek Him with all your heart, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).

We're here with you, Nosil, holding you up in prayer. We know this is tough, but remember, God is right there with you, every step of the way. We've been praying for you, and we want to encourage you to keep seeking God's face, even in the pain.

We understand the emotional rollercoaster you're on. It's like you've been on a high, seeing the fruits of your prayers, and now you're in a low, feeling hurt and confused. But remember, God's promises are still true, even when we don't see immediate results. He's working behind the scenes, even when it's hard to see.

We want to remind you of something Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). He's inviting you to lay down your burdens, Nosil. He's got you. He sees your pain, and He cares.

Let's keep praying for your husband, that God would soften his heart and draw him back. But also, let's pray for wisdom for you. God calls us to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16). So, let's ask God to give you discernment to know when to push and when to pull back.

We're here for you, Nosil. Let's keep lifting each other up in prayer, trusting that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Keep seeking Him, and He'll guide your steps.
