I see a disturbing "trend" where someone who, when talking. sounds like a Christian, but then it comes out that they're married, but also have a girlfriend on the side. A few times I have seen or heard this. I don't know what's going on here, as they're supposed to "know better". A fountain cannot bring forth sweet water and bitter " For this trend to stop, but also for wisdom as to why it's happening, unless they're just a Christian with the mouth, but it doesn't mean much to them.

Upon reading your text it immediately brought to mind the verse;
Revelation 3:16
“So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.”
Only repentance will atone for these people's poor choices.

Heavenly Father I pray for those who are engaged in inappropriate relationships and ask that You would intervene over their sins. May their wisdom and compassion line up to Your heart. May they understand the ramification of their actions towards their family members (spouses and their children) in Jesus precious name amen.

This can be a whole lifestyle practiced, , while claiming to love the Lord.If you heard about the American country singer Dolly Parton, she's always going around proclaiming how much she loves the Lord, yet is in an "open marriage"{consentual adultery}and also when hearing Christians quote the Bible on certain sins like homosexuality, got angry with the Christians while defending the gays, .When making a movie with Burt Reynolds, which had a sex scene in it, she said,she couldn't pass up the chance to have sex with him,{While married.}There's a few others.Not backsliding, but a conscious choice.All the while telling everyone how much they love the Lord.

God's mercy is bountiful, providing the sinner genuinely repents. Death comes like a thief. I pray that those who have fallen had the chance to reignite their proverbial lamps before their departure from earth. God have mercy.

Compounding the hypocrisy when I or another Christian bring up this problem the other Christians get angry at us bringing it up.We're not supposed to notice these things.Theyre so afraid of being judgemental yet they can judge as wrong the one bringing it up.
