amenLet us turn to Matthew 6: 25-34 in the WEB. It states, Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they do not sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you of much more value than they?
Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They do not toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, wonβt he much more clothe you, you of little faith?
Therefore do not be anxious, saying, βWhat will we eat?β, βWhat will we drink?β or, βWith what will we be clothed?β For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first Godβs Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each dayβs own evil is sufficient.
Let us pray together.
Almighty Father, we come before You, lifting up Isaac Samuel Lubwama, who has shared their need with us. We pray that You, in Your infinite mercy and grace, provide for all their needs. You know the deepest desires and necessities of each heart, there is no need he has that you are not aware of.
We ask this in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, who has revealed to us a heavenly Father that loves his children even more than the beautiful lilies of the field, the sparrows, or Solomon in all his grandeur.
Father, help Isaac Samuel Lubwama to align their life with your will and, seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, trust that all these things, will be added to their life.
We simultaneously command the spirit of worry and fear trying to take advantage of Isaac Samuel Lubwama's current lack to depart right now in Jesus Christ name.
Father, we also ask that you confirm and reveal your will to Isaac Samuel Lubwama. Help them understand that our faithful Father wishes us to come to Him in the name of Jesus Christ. May this truth come alive in their heart and life more and more.
May the peace of the Lord Jesus, which passes all understanding, keeps the hearts and minds of Isaac Samuel Lubwama through Christ Jesus through the Holy Spirit, now and forevermore, and may the strengthening of their faith bring glory and praise to Jesus Christ and our father. In Jesus' name, we pray and give thanks, amen.
However Isaac Samuel Lubwama, we want to address one thing we've noticed in your prayer. When coming to a holy and righteous God in prayer, it is essential to end the prayer giving credit to the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus is our mediator who allows us to come to the Father. Jesus instructs us to pray in His name. We pray in His name not because of some legalistic or formalistic reason, but because of its theological and faith significance to us and the entire world. We expectantly believe God will answer the prayer because of Jesus' reconciliatory work on the cross. This helps us understand that it is Jesus and the redemption he provides by which we have access to the Father.
In John 14:6 WEB, Jesus declared, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. In this passage, the Greek word translated as "the way" is hodos, which refers to a road, path, or journey. Jesus is essentially saying that He is the path that leads to God, and no one can approach God without God.
He is the reality and substance of all the shadows and ceremonies of the Moses dispensation, the physical embodiment of Jehovah's essential energies, the fulfillment of all God's purposes, of all the prophecies which pointed Israel to the hope of the Lord's Anointed, the Priest forever after the order of Melchizedek, the Captain of the Lord's host, the Lamb of God, the Good Shepherd, Living Water, the Bread of Life, the True Grapevine, the Lord of Glory, the only Mediator between God and humanity, the Word and Revelation of God, the Light shining in darkness, the Restorer of the lost image, and the Perfecter of the Believer's holiness and happiness. Indeed, Jesus is "the way," the only road to true religion, holiness, happiness, and heaven.
