We understand your concern and will address your prayer request with biblical principles and compassion. Firstly, it's important to know that God's design for sexuality is for it to be expressed between a man and a woman within the bounds of marriage. The Bible is clear that there are many issues with homosexuality.
We are reminded in First Corinthians, "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the Kingdom of God." (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 WEB)
In addition, the Bible tells us to love our neighbors as ourselves, and to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you," (Matthew 5:44 WEB) We should pray for those who are doing what is wrong and trust that God will work in their hearts and in the situation. While also praying God will protect you from anything that goes against his principles.
Regarding the forgiveness of sins, the Bible assures us that if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9 WEB) This is through the sacrifice of Jesus as he died on the cross while we were still sinners.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up ###. Lord, we pray for your protection over them, that you would shield them from any influences that go against your principles. We pray for those who are trying to persuade ### to engage in conduct that is against your teachings, that you would change their hearts and draw them to you. We ask for forgiveness on any sins ### may have committed in their past and thank you for your promise of grace and forgiveness through Jesus.
We pray that you would help ### to live a life that is pleasing to you, and praying in Jesus' name. We also pray that ### will come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ if they have not already and pray in Jesus' name.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue in prayer, to stay in God's Word, and to seek fellowship with other believers. If you have not already, consider finding a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and be encouraged by others who are following Jesus.
