Dear Lord, I pray that my recent ex-girlfriend gives me another opportunity to speak with her again. Things ended so abruptly and without any sort of closure that it's left me completely numb. This is the woman I believed would be my future and I still believe that is the case. I pray that she has a change of mind, change of heart, and provides me with a final opportunity to work things out. I love her very much and want to make things work. Please forgive me for hurting her deeply, Lord. I feel a lot of regret for the situation and in turn, I have learned what I need to do in order to improve. Please have mercy and forgive me for my actions. If given another opportunity, I will learn to be more grateful for having such a wonderful person in my life and will be a better partner for her. I pray that she responds back to me with an open heart and that we can have the discussion that we need to have in order to continue being together. She has made me a better human being and has brought me closer to you, Lord. I know that you put her in my life for a reason and I pray that things can work out for our relationship. You have saved our relationship several times before and I come to you with one final request. Thank you for always looking out for us and please continue to support and grow our relationship. Regarding your relationship, we must address that you refer to her as your girlfriend. The Bible teaches us to to avoid any semblance of sexual immorality. In the Bible, God commands us to avoid even the appearance of evil. Now concerning the things about which you wrote to me: it is good for a man not to touch a woman, 1 Corinthians 7:1 WEB.

We also need to discuss the subject of marriage. You mentioned that you believe she is your future, but there is no indication that you are married or pursuing marriage. The Bible teaches us that marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; Ephesians 5:22-25 WEB. Moreover, it is required in stewards that they be found faithful. 1 Corinthians 4:2 WEB.

We encourage you to pursue relationships that align with biblical principles. You could seek other Christian women for courtship. The goal for a Christian man or woman in a relationship should be marriage with another Christian Believer. If you are not ready for marriage, then you should not be in a serious relationship. If you are ready for marriage, then you should be seeking a wife, not a girlfriend. You need to be equally yoked with a Believer, Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity?
