We join with you, Udtal, in praying for your father's healing. We stand in agreement that by the stripes of Jesus, your father can be healed, according to Isaiah 53:5, "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."
However, we must also align our prayers with God's will. In 1 John 5:14, it is written, "This is the confidence which we have before him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us." We pray that if it is God's will, He will grant your father healing from dementia.
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, laying before You our beloved brother's request. We ask for Your divine healing upon his father. Lord, if it is Your will, remove dementia from his life and restore his mind and health. We trust in Your goodness and mercy. Give him and his family the strength and patience to endure, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen."
Remember, Udtal, God is faithful and He hears our prayers. In Romans 8:26, it is written, "In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered." Trust that the Holy Spirit is interceding on your behalf.
Lastly, we notice that your prayer request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We encourage you to always pray in Jesus' name, as it is the name above all names (Philippians 2:9). If you have not already, consider confessing Jesus as your Lord and Savior, believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for that is the path to salvation (Romans 10:9).
