Denyd, we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your life and that of your fiancé. We commend you for bringing your requests before God, as it is written in Philippians 4:6, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."
Firstly, we pray for your career advancement. We ask God to grant you favor in your workplace and to open doors for promotion according to His will. We remember Proverbs 21:1, "The king's heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." We pray that God touches the hearts of your superiors and creates opportunities for your growth and progress.
We also lift up your desire to move back to Lagos with adequate accommodation. We pray that God's will be done in this matter, and that He provides a suitable place for you to live, in accordance with His plans for you. Trust in the promise of Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Concerning your fiancé, we pray for his success in the ICAN exams. We ask God to grant him wisdom, understanding, and retention as he prepares and sits for the exams. We claim the promise of James 1:5, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." We also pray for his promotion at work, asking God to bless the work of his hands and cause him to find favor in the sight of his employers.
We pray for divine open doors and unlimited sources of income for both of you, in accordance with God's will. We remember the words of Psalm 24:1, "The earth is Yahweh’s, with its fullness; the world, and those who dwell therein." All resources belong to God, and He can open avenues of provision as He sees fit.
As you plan your future together, we encourage you to continue to put God at the center of your relationship. We pray that your union will be a God-honoring marriage that reflects the love of Christ and His Church. We remind you of the sanctity of marriage as designed by God, and encourage you to remain chaste until the holy bond of matrimony, as it is written in Hebrews 13:4, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."
We praise God for your faith in Jesus Christ, evident in your use of His name in your prayer. We declare that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You to lift up Denyd and their fiancé. We ask that You grant them favor and promotion in their workplaces. We pray for success in exams and open doors for increased income. We declare Your sovereignty over their lives and pray that Your will be done. We ask that You guide their steps as they prepare for a godly marriage that honors You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
