We are truly sorry to hear about the financial struggles being faced, and we want to lift this situation up in prayer together. However, before we address this request it needs to be clarified that God is not a magical being in the sky that we can address without respecting his requirements. In fact, we are not even supposed to address God without using the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
Firstly, we need to address the phrase "you can do me anything". The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." To tell God that He can do anything to us is flying directly in the face of His word. In His word, he has promised us that He will provide a way out of our temptations and He will not allow more temptation than we can handle.
Secondly, we need to address the statement "I need money, I'm suffering with it.". The Bible is clear that we are to ask God for our daily bread, but it is also clear that we are to be content in all circumstances. In Philippians 4:11-13 WEB, it says "Not that I speak because of need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things have I learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
These verses tell us that we should be content in all circumstances because we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. It is a true saying "you cannot out give God." God will meet our needs when we are obedient to Him and living for Him. It is when we are living for ourselves and not for God that we find ourselves not having the things we need and want. Again, this does not mean that God is a magical being that we can ask for things and he will give them to us. It means that when we are living for Him and obeying His commands, He will meet our needs.
Let us pray together for the strength and contentment in the current financial struggles.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, lifting up this dear soul who is struggling financially. We ask, Father, that you would give the strength and contentment in these circumstances. Help them to trust in your provision and to seek your will in all things. We pray Lord Jesus, that you will show them how to be a good steward of the resources they have and that you will provide for their needs according to your riches in glory. Guide them to apply biblical principles in managing their finances and help them to be obedient to your word. Thank you, Father, for your faithfulness and for your promise to never leave nor forsake us. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Please take time to review the scriptures mentioned above and meditate on them. Allow God to speak to through His word. Remember, that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God.
