Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with a humble heart, lifting up Steven Bobb's concern about the tendency among some Christians to hastily label political figures as the Antichrist based on personal dislikes. Lord, we seek Your wisdom and discernment in interpreting prophecy and understanding the times we live in.
Your Word reminds us in 1 John 4:1, "Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world." Help us, Lord, to test the spirits and seek Your truth with a discerning heart. Grant us the patience and wisdom to interpret Your prophecies wisely and not jump to conclusions based on our personal biases.
Father, we ask that You guide Your people to focus on the love and unity that Christ taught us. As it is written in 1 John 4:7, "Beloved, let’s love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves has been born of God, and knows God." May we be known for our love and understanding rather than for our hasty judgments.
We pray for a spirit of humility and openness to Your guidance. Help us to remember that only You know the full picture and the plans You have for this world. As we navigate through these challenging times, may we always seek Your face and rely on Your wisdom.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
