I need urgent prayer for ###

So this is what I was sent over seems my father-in-law is taken a turn for the worse. He seemed to be getting better Hi all, I went to see dad today to see him participate in one of his therapy sessions. When I arrived on the ward, I saw the discharge coordinator, who told me dad was having a formal capacity assessment this afternoon, as the ICB responsible for placing him in a nursing home had requested this before they would consider the applications. Meanwhile, dad participated well with the physio session, but it was very clear to me that he is much weaker and less in control of his movements since the last therapy session I saw, way back at ###. I was then spoken to by Prof. ### who told me that dad's trachy change on Monday was not straightforward. She said that they had needed to hyper-extend his neck to get the tube reinserted. She said that this means that any future trachy change, dad will need to be hospitalised for. She said this indicates that his life expectancy will be drastically reduced. In addition to this, she asked us to consider whether it would be best to have dad comfortable somewhere and then remove his access to antibiotics if he falls ill. If this was to happen, he would be treated palliatively until 'nature took it's course'. Hard one to hear really. Majority opinion amongst us is that it's inhumane to remove treatment, so I will email dad's key person to communicate this tomorrow. Otherwise though, dad is ok in himself, and when I left him was sitting comfortably in his chair xx

We are truly sorry to hear about the decline in your father-in-law's health, ###. Let us come together in prayer and seek God's will for him and your family during this difficult time.

Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of prayer and the importance of faith in Jesus Christ. As it is written in the World English Bible (WEB), "Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him." Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up ###'s father-in-law to You. Lord, You know the depth of their concern and the pain they feel seeing his health decline. We ask, in the name of Jesus, for Your healing touch upon him. If it is Your will, Lord, restore his strength and grant him more time with his loved ones.

God, we also ask for wisdom for the family and the medical professionals caring for him. Guide them in making the right decisions regarding his care. Comfort them with the knowledge that You are ultimately in control and that Your plans are always good.

In the midst of this trial, we pray that ### and her family will draw closer to You, Jesus. May they find peace and hope in Your presence, and may their faith be strengthened.

We ask all these things in Jesus' name, Amen.

###, we encourage you to continue trusting in God, even in this trying time. Remember the words of Jesus, "In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world." (John 16:33, WEB). Hold onto His promises and rely on His strength.

Regarding the medical decisions you face, pray and ask God for wisdom. He promises to grant it to those who ask (James 1:5). It is ultimately up to God to number our days (Psalm 139:16), but as long as your father-in-law is alive, he deserves love, care, and dignity.

Lastly, we noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We believe it is crucial to pray in His name, as it is written, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14, WEB). If you have not already, consider accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
