We are glad to hear that you have a desire to read your Bible more. This is a crucial part of growing in your relationship with God. As it says in Second Timothy 3:16-17 WEB, "Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."
Let us encourage you to set aside a specific time each day for Bible reading and prayer. Start with a manageable goal, such as one chapter a day, and ask God to help you understand and apply what you are reading. Remember, it is not just about reading the words, but about engaging with God's Word and allowing it to transform your life.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up our fellow believer who has expressed a desire to read your Word more. We ask that you would give them a hunger and thirst for your Word, and that you would open their eyes to see the wonderful truths contained within it. Help them to understand and apply your Word to their life, and use it to draw them closer to you. Give them the discipline and commitment to make Bible reading a regular part of their life, and protect them from the distractions of the enemy. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, who came to give us life and life more abundantly. Amen.
As a further encouragement, consider Psalm 119:105 WEB, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path." God's Word is a guide for our lives, and as we read and meditate on it, we will be better equipped to follow His path for us.
We also note that the request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. For the Scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. ... For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13 WEB)
