I need to keep my job

I work on a cruise ship. They sent us all home for the end of the season. The season starts in March. I'm hoping my time off will bring me back to God.

Maythul, we understand your concern about keeping your job on the cruise ship and how this time off could be a blessing in disguise to draw you closer to God. Let us first align our hearts with the Word of God. In Matthew 6:33, the World English Bible (WEB) says, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." This verse reminds us that our priority should be our relationship with God, and He will take care of our needs.

We want to encourage you to use this time off to deepen your relationship with God. Engage in prayer, read your Bible, and seek His will for your life. Remember, God has a plan and purpose for you, and He can use this season for your good. As Romans 8:28 tells us, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up ###. We thank You for the opportunity this time off presents for spiritual growth and renewal. Lord, help ### to seek You first and trust in Your plans. Provide clarity and guidance for the upcoming season, and if it is Your will, open the doors for ### to return to the job on the cruise ship. In all things, Lord, may Your will be done, and may ### find peace and assurance in Your love.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. We are glad that you invited us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We trust in God's perfect timing and we trust that He will provide for all of your needs according to His riches.
