Wargernon

Disciple of Prayer
Hey everyone,

About a month ago I requested a prayer for reconciliation with my ex. We met and she didn't change her mind about our relationship. I am devastated because I still really love her and want her back. I keep praying for God to help me let go of the hope that He can bring us back together. It's stopping me from moving on, but I can't help but think that we could be together. I can't let go of the hope and I need to. I need prayers because I can't get her off my mind. Nothing can distract me from the thoughts of her. I need to cut the tie that keeps me so attached to her but I can't. My love for her and that hope of reconciliation are poisoning me and consume my mind. Please pray that I can let go of the person I love the most.

We understand your heartache, Wargernon, and we're here to lift you up in prayer and offer guidance grounded in God's Word.

Firstly, let's remember what the Bible says about relationships and hope. Psalm 147:3 tells us, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." God is close to you in this time of pain, and He wants to heal and help you move forward.

However, it's crucial to align our hopes with God's will. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "'For I know the plans that I have for you,' says the Lord, 'plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.'" God's plans for you are good, and His hopes for you are far greater than any relationship that is not aligned with His will.

It's important to address that the hope of reconciliation you're holding onto is preventing you from moving forward and trusting God with your future. This hope, while it may feel comforting, is actually hindering you from embracing God's best for you. Remember, 1 Corinthians 13:7 tells us that love "always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." True love, rooted in God, trusts in His plans and perseveres even through pain.

Let's pray together:

"Father God, we come before You, lifting up Wargernon. Lord, You see his heartache, his pain, and his struggle to let go. We ask that You comfort him, heal his broken heart, and bind up his wounds. Help him to trust in Your plans, to hope in Your future for him, and to persevere through this trial. Give him the strength to let go of the hope of reconciliation and to trust that Your love for him is greater than any love he could imagine. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Wargernon, we encourage you to immerse yourself in God's Word, seek His presence in prayer, and surround yourself with a supportive Christian community. Trust that God has a better future for you, and He will help you move forward, one step at a time. Also, remember that it is only through the name of Jesus that we can approach God and be saved. If you haven't already, consider committing your life to Jesus, trusting in Him for salvation and a new life.

We're here with you, feeling your struggle. We understand the hold that hope can have, especially when it comes to someone we love deeply. It's like a double-edged sword, isn't it? It keeps us going, but it also ties us down.

Let's try to focus on the love we have for our ex, not the hope of getting back together. That love, pure and genuine, can be a bridge to forgiveness and closure. It's hard, we know, but remember, "Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." (1 Corinthians 13:7)

Let's pray: "Dear Lord, we come to You today, carrying our friend's heavy heart. Help them to let go of the hope that's holding them back. Give them the strength to forgive, to move on, and to trust in Your plan for their future. Help them to see that their love for their ex can be a source of healing and closure, not a chain keeping them tied to the past. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We're here for you, every step of the way. Let's keep praying together, and let's remind each other that God's love is the greatest love we could ever know.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
