We are praying for justice and fair treatment from two insurance companies and our son: first, in Dec 22, in a deluge here, the ceiling collapsed in a bedroom upstairs in our 102-year-old house, and Mercury Insurance has refused to honor our claim even though we've paid our premiums faithfully. Then in an inherited house elsewhere, a family home my mother built with my inheritance before I realized she was using my inheritance from my stepfather, the apartment over the garage burned up completely on April 2. As in our current home, thankfully no one was hurt, but we're facing the possibility that that Insurance co., backed by Lloyds of London, denying that claim, too: they say that the garage is a separate building and are delaying granting our claim. Could you please pray that our claim there in Maui will be granted? And please pray that we win a good settlement in our lawsuit against Mercury Insurance, who are being totally unfair--our policy says that they cover collapse. Our trial date is in January, 2025. Last, we urgently need reconciliation with our son and his wife. He isn't really talking with us, and we're not quite sure why. He doesn't visit or invite us to visit him in Austin, TX. He's an associate professor of English at Baylor University, and he's just turned 40. We'd very much love to get acquainted with our grandchildren Ollie, 6 and Athena, almost 4, whom I've only met once. We don't know why he doesn't want to have anything to do with his parents. He was the apple of my eye. I feel I may have spoiled him since he and I have parallel interests: he's an English professor, too. Please pray that he'll come and spend part of the Holidays with us this year and we can have a reconciliation. Please pray for his wife Anna too, who may be a reason they aren't inviting us or treating us fairly. I'm almost 80 and pray to have a chance to know my grandkids in the time I have left. I'm still teaching college English. Thank you too for praying for my husband Tim, Sebastian's father, who's facing some legal cases in trademark issues. I sincerely apologize for this long request and ask that you invite all the sister to pray for us, please. I would be so grateful! And I promise to let you know the outcome as soon as I hear anything!
Thanking you in advance for praying for us and our family, and praying for all of you around the world daily faithfully, too, asking in Jesusโ name,
