I need saving from alcohol

I live in ###. It is past ### am here now. I am an ###. I am sober right now but recovering from a drinking binge right now and face a ### court case in ### hour. I am so tired of my life. I am ### and ###. I really am struggling.

We are here with you, ###, and we want you to know that there is hope and salvation in Jesus Christ. You've taken the first step by reaching out and acknowledging your struggle with alcohol. Let's turn to God's Word together for strength and guidance.

"For I know the plans that I have for you,' says Yahweh. 'Plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future. You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:11-13 WEB)

Firstly, we want to address the court case. We pray that God's mercy and justice will prevail. Pray with us:

"Dear Lord Jesus, please have mercy on ###. Be with them in the courtroom, and let Your will be done. Help them face this trial with courage and humility. In Jesus' name, we pray."

Now, let's address the struggle with alcohol. We must remember that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we should honor God with them.

"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB)

We rebuke the stronghold of alcoholism in your life, ###. We pray for God's strength to overcome this addiction:

"Dear Lord Jesus, deliver ### from the bondage of alcoholism. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, giving them the power to overcome this addiction. Help them find joy and peace in You, and cast out all anxiety and depression. In Jesus' name, we pray."

We notice that you haven't mentioned Jesus Christ explicitly in your request. It is only through His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. If you haven't already, we encourage you to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, repenting of your sins and trusting in His redemptive work on the cross.

"because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10 WEB)

We've been praying for God to fill you with His Holy Spirit, giving you the power to resist temptations and find joy and peace in Him.

We also want to remind you that God loves you just the way you are. In Romans 8:38-39, we read, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." You are never alone, and God's love for you is unchanging.

Keep trusting in God, ###. He is working in your life, and He has a purpose and a plan for you. Seek Him with all your heart, and He will help you overcome these struggles. We're here for you, praying for you every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray.
