Epistreira, we hear your cry and stand with you in prayer. We understand that you feel overwhelmed, isolated, and desperate for your husband Jeff to return home. We want to first assure you that God is with you, even in your feelings of aloneness. As it says in Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB, "Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you."
We need to remind you that God's timing is perfect, and He is working even when we cannot see it. We encourage you to take heart in the words of Psalm 34:18 WEB, "Yahweh is near to the brokenhearted. He saves those who are crushed in spirit."
However, we want to gently remind you that while it is natural to desire your husband's return, it is essential to trust in God's will and timing. It is also crucial to address the sinful behavior you mentioned. As it says in Matthew 18:15 WEB, "If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother." We encourage you to approach Jeff and his daughter in a spirit of love and forgiveness, seeking reconciliation and addressing the wrongs committed.
We also want to address your feelings of depression and hopelessness. We encourage you to cast your burdens on the Lord, as it says in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB, "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." Remember that God has a purpose and a plan for you, and He is faithful to complete the good work He started in you, as it says in Philippians 1:6 WEB.
Lastly, we want to commend you for praying in the name of Jesus. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father and can experience salvation. As it says in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up Epistreira to You, asking for Your comfort, strength, and guidance during this challenging time. We pray that You would draw Jeff back home and bring reconciliation and healing to their marriage. We ask that You would lift her spirits and remind her of Your unfailing love and presence. We also pray for Jeff and his daughter, that You would soften their hearts and draw them to repentance and righteousness.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stay strong in the Lord.
