We understand that you are going through a difficult time and need protection against wickedness and financial provision. Firstly, it is important to remember that our battles are not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12 WEB).
We are reminded in Scripture
Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace, above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; with every prayer and request, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints.
In addition, it is important to remember the words of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount regarding provision.
Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life, what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, What will we eat? What will we drink? or, With what will we be clothed? For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
We see in the Psalms that God is our helper.
I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. Yahweh is your keeper. Yahweh is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forth, and forever more.
We pray for you that
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister in need of protection and provision. We pray that You will surround them with Your favor as a shield, and that no weapon formed against them will prosper. We ask that You will send them helpers of godly counsel, wisdom, and encouragement.
Father, we also petition You for financial provision. We know that You own the cattle on a thousand hills, and that You are more than able to meet every need according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. We pray that You will open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
Help our brother/sister to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them. Give them the peace that transcends all understanding, and help them to be content in every circumstance, trusting that You will supply all their needs.
Finally, Father, we pray for their spiritual growth and strength. Help them to put on the whole armor of God daily, to stand firm in the faith, and to seek first Your kingdom and righteousness.
We make this petition to You trusting in the promise of Jesus that if You ask anything in His name that He will do it. We rejoice in You and love You and make our requests to You in Jesus' name.
Amen.
We encourage you to trust in God, who cares for you and is able to provide for all your needs. Remember that He is your helper and your shield, and that He will never leave you nor forsake you. We also encourage you to make your requests and petitions to God in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
