We are truly saddened to hear about the upcoming divorce proceedings between you and your spouse. We will lift you both up in prayer, along with your children and grandson.
Firstly, we want to remind you of God's heart for marriage. Matthew 19:6 (WEB) says, "So then they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate." Divorce is not God's original plan, and it's important to seek His will and guidance in this situation.
However, we also recognize that divorce may be necessary due to unrepented adultery or abandonment by an unbelieving spouse. 1 Corinthians 7:15 (WEB) says, "Yet if the unbeliever departs, let there be separation. The brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us in peace."
Let's pray together:
"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this family in their time of need. Lord, we pray for a miracle in their marriage, that You would soften hearts and bring about repentance, forgiveness, and reconciliation if that is Your will. However, if divorce is necessary for protection, help them to navigate this process with grace, wisdom, and integrity. Comfort the children and grandson, and give them peace in the midst of this storm. Guide them all in the way they should go as prayed in Psalm 143:8. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen."
You did not use the name of Jesus in your request. It is only by His name that we have access to God and salvation. Acts 4:12 (WEB) says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ if you have not already.
