We are truly sorry to hear about the trials you are facing, and we are here to lift you up in prayer and offer biblical encouragement. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is always with you, even in the darkest of times. As it says in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
In regards to the passing of your loved ones, both your father and your faithful dog, we want to assure you that God cares about your pain. In 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 WEB, "But we don’t want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don’t grieve like the rest, who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus." While this is referring to humans, it can be a comfort to those who are grieving any loved one.
Regarding your struggle with alcohol, we want to encourage you to turn to God in these times of hardship. It is only through Jesus Christ that you can find freedom from alcoholism. In John 8:36 WEB, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." Also, 1 Peter 4:7 WEB, "The end of all things is near. Therefore be of sound mind, self-controlled, and sober in prayer."
Lastly, concerning your job and back injury, remember that God has a plan for you. In Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, lifting up our brother/sister in need. Lord, we pray for comfort and peace as they face the loss of their father and beloved dog. We ask for strength and healing as they struggle with alcoholism, and we pray for your guiding hand as they navigate their job loss and back injury.
Lord, we know that you are a God of miracles, and we ask for your divine intervention in their life. Help them to draw closer to you during this time, and to find peace and freedom in your loving arms.
We ask all of this in Jesus precious name.
Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep your faith grounded in Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to God. In Roman 5:2 WEB, "through whom we also have had our access by faith into this grace in which we stand."
