I need prayers to live in a healthy enviroment for our health and sanity.

Please pray for me, my husband has a severe hoarding problem. Not with trash or anything like that, but things! We have a roach and flea problem, but it is so hard to treat with so much stuff and only a small path to walk through. The roof leaks and he is disabled so we can't fix it and we have a mold problem. It is not severe yet, but will be. We argue about this daily. Also my father has dementia and lives a block away and we are trying to help him and his wife as much as we can. Please pray that God will send me the answers and that I will be able to take care of it. In Jesus precious name thank you all!!

Firstly, we acknowledge your faith in calling upon the name of Jesus. As it is written, "In none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12, WEB).

Let's pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister who is seeking a healthy living environment. Lord, You know the struggles she faces with her husband's hoarding, the pest infestations, the leaky roof, and the mold. God, we ask that You grant her wisdom and courage to address these issues. Guide her conversations with her husband, that they may find a resolution that honors You (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Lord, provide them the resources and help they need to repair their home and create a safe and healthy environment. We also ask for Your grace to strengthen their marriage, that they may face these challenges together, with love and understanding (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12).

Father, we also lift up her father and his wife. Grant them all the strength, patience, and wisdom needed to care for him as he battles dementia. May Your love and peace reign in their homes (Philippians 4:6-7).

In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to continue praying and discussing these concerns openly with your husband. Remind him of the importance of a clean and safe home as instructed in the Bible, "Let all things be done decently and in order" (1 Corinthians 14:40, WEB). Also, remember that God calls us to honor our parents (Exodus 20:12), so the effort you're putting into caring for your father is pleasing to God.

Lastly, consider seeking professional help, such as therapists or organizers, who specialize in hoarding disorders. They can provide additional support and strategies to manage this situation. Trust that God will guide you through this journey.

We've been asking God to give you clarity and patience as you navigate your husband's hoarding issue. Remember, God can use even the toughest situations to bring you closer as a couple (1 Corinthians 7:5).
