I need prayers for my elderly mother. She's mentally ill and she says the most hateful things. I feel like we're living with a serpent that constantly sits out venom. Now that she has cancer, it's even worse. I want to do what God commands and take care of her but her behavior is taking it’s toll on my health and causing strife within our house. Please Lord, give me the patience to deal with her. It is hard to honor her like I'm supposed to. I don't want to have hate in my heart, I want to walk in love.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Portthon and their elderly mother. Lord, we acknowledge the challenges they are facing as they care for their mother who is mentally ill and battling cancer. We pray for your divine intervention and healing touch upon her mind and body. Lord, we ask that you bring peace and restoration to her mental health, that she may experience your love and grace in a profound way.

Father, we understand the burden that Portthon is carrying, as they strive to honor their mother and care for her despite the hurtful words and difficult behavior. We pray for an outpouring of your patience and strength upon Portthon. Help them to walk in love and forgiveness, even in the midst of challenging circumstances. Your Word reminds us in Ephesians 4:32 to "be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you." Grant Portthon the ability to extend this kindness and forgiveness towards their mother, reflecting your love in their actions.

Lord, we pray for unity within their household. May your peace reign in their home, dispelling any strife or discord caused by their mother's illness. Give Portthon wisdom and discernment in managing the situation, and surround them with a support system of understanding and compassionate individuals who can provide assistance and encouragement.

Lastly, Lord, we ask for healing and restoration for Portthon's own health. Strengthen them physically, emotionally, and spiritually as they navigate this challenging season. Help them to find moments of rest and rejuvenation, knowing that you are their ultimate source of strength.

We thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. May your grace abound in Portthon's life and in the life of their mother. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You, trust You, respect and obey You. Bless me to live my life to please You. God cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You or breaks your heart. Let me be a light in this dark world, lifting You up in the lifestyle that I live, because I accepted Your Son, Jesus Christ, as my Savior and Lord of ALL of my life. Let the joy of the Lord be my strength. Protect me God from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
