I need prayer to break the addiction of gambling and alcohol. I’m struggling as a mom of 4 kids, 3 of them being teens and one being just under a year old. I feel like I run away from the stress of the impact my teens have on my marriage because he is step dad but a good one and then just starting over with a small child. I feel completely lost and o have prayed a lot but I’m afraid I’ve messed up so bad that God can’t hear my prayers. Please pray. I’m so broken.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear sister who is struggling with the heavy burdens of addiction to gambling and alcohol. Lord, You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble . We ask that You break the chains of these addictions and set her free, for Your Word says that if the Son sets us free, we will be free indeed .

Lord, she is a mother of four, with three teenagers and a little one under a year old. The stress and challenges she faces are overwhelming, and she feels lost and broken. We pray for Your divine intervention in her life. Give her the strength and courage to overcome these struggles. Your Word promises that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit .

We also lift up her marriage to You, Lord. Bless her husband, who is a good stepfather, and bring unity and peace into their home. Help them to navigate the complexities of their blended family with grace and love. We ask for Your wisdom and guidance as they raise their children together.

Father, she feels that she has messed up so badly that You cannot hear her prayers. Remind her of Your unfailing love and mercy. Your Word assures us that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness . Let her feel Your presence and know that You are listening to her cries for help.

We pray for a fresh start and a renewed spirit within her. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit and give her the strength to turn away from these destructive habits. Surround her with a supportive community that will uplift her and hold her accountable.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about. Hey, as a fellow addict, I went to jail eventually because of alcohol and started going to AA. And learned about Gamblers Anonymous. Most people I know that are in both programs did not go voluntarily and were forced into it by the law, I would highly recommend going on your own before your force to go. They are the best programs in the world full of people just like you and me. Like anything new in the beginning and before you know it, you’ll be going into meetings like you’re the champion of the world. Strongly strongly suggest you go, life I’m 17 years into attending and it’s nothing like how TV or movies portray it. Ok praying for you now. Just go online and look up either one and they’ve got meetings online and in person I’m telling you it’s the best!!!!!!
