We stand with you in prayer, Dupethan, for your son who is struggling with addictions to betting, gambling, and hard drugs. We recognize that these issues are not only physical but spiritual, and we trust in the power of Jesus Christ to bring healing and deliverance.
Let us remember what is written in 1 Corinthians 10:13 (WEB), "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
We pray:
"Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You, lifting up Dupethan's son. Lord, You know the struggles and the bondage he is in. We ask that You break the chains of addiction in his life. Help him to find the way of escape from these temptations. Bring conviction upon his heart and lead him to repentance. Surround him with godly influences and support. Give Dupethan the wisdom and strength to guide her son with love and patience. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you, Dupethan, to continue to stand firm in your faith and to trust in the Lord. Remember the promise in Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust that God is working even in this difficult situation.
We also urge you to ensure that your son is surrounded by a community of believers who can support and encourage him. It is crucial that he understands the source of true healing and deliverance is in Jesus Christ alone. If he has not yet accepted Jesus as his Savior, pray that this journey will lead him to a saving knowledge of Christ. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Stay strong in the Lord, and we will continue to lift your son up in our prayers.
