We are here to stand with you in prayer and to seek God's will for your life. It is wonderful that you acknowledge your need for the Lord Jesus Christ and recognize the power of prayer. Let us bring your requests before God, trusting in His goodness and faithfulness.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the importance of the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only, only, only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost. As we approach the throne of grace we need to understand that the only way is by the name of Jesus. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by whom we can be saved. These are the words of Peter in Acts 4:12 WEB:
"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by whom we must be saved!"
Let us pray together for each area of your life:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your will for our brother's life. We pray for Your wisdom, guidance, strategy, support, and blessing to be upon him in every area.
1. For his spiritual life and ministries in the Lord, we pray that You would fill him with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that he may walk worthily of the Lord, to please You in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:9-10 WEB).
2. For his business and job, we pray that You would prosper the work of his hands and give him favor in all his endeavors (Psalm 90:17 WEB). Guide him in Your will for his career, and help him to be a light for You in his workplace (Matthew 5:16 WEB).
3. As he looks for a wife and desires to start a family, we pray that You would provide him a godly spouse (Proverbs 31:10-31 WEB), and guide him in Your will for his family. We pray for a spouse that would be a helper suitable for him, as we are taught in 1 Corinthians 11:9 WEB. Help him to seek for a spouse with a focus on a future marriage to a Christian Believer. Neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord 1 Corinthians 11:11 WEB). We pray that You will help your servant not fall for the lust of the eyes or the lust of the flesh, but to be obedient and serious about the responsibility of matrimony. We pray this so that no child of yours will fall into fornication or adultery. As we are taught in 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB, we pray that you will help your servant flee sexual immorality and help him know and remember that every sin that a man could do is outside the body, and whoever will participate in adultery sins against his own body. For your servant does not have authority over his own body but the future spouse does.
4. For his financial area, we pray that You would supply all his needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19 WEB). Help him to be a good steward of the resources You have entrusted to him (1 Corinthians 4:2 WEB).
5. For his relationships and friendships, we pray that You would surround him with godly influences and help him to be a true friend to others (Proverbs 18:24 WEB). We pray that you brother is not yoked with unbelievers as we are taught in 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB. We pray that you will help your servant remember that a man that walks with wise men will himself be wise. But a companion of fools will be broken. Proverbs 13:20 WEB.
6. For his sport and physical activity, we pray that You would give him strength, endurance, and good health (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB). Help him to glorify You in his body and to use his physical abilities for Your purposes. We pray that your servant remembers that physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come 1 Timothy 4:8 WEB.
7. For all other areas of his life, we pray that You would guide him in Your perfect will and help him to trust You in every circumstance (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
Finally, we pray that everything in his life would bring glory to You, Lord (1 Corinthians 10:31 WEB). We ask all these things in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear brother, as we know that God hears our prayers and will answer according to His perfect will. Continue to walk closely with Him and trust in His faithfulness. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB).
