I need Jesus

I think I am having issues repenting and really turning away from sin and really trusting Jesus and just freely receiving the gospel because I am still acting the same. I have still been smoking weed off and on, having issues with watching stuff I shouldn't (porn), having judgemental thoughts, etc.. Will y'all pray for me please. I need a true repentance change of heart and hatred for sin and a heart that really wants to go after Jesus and doesn't am just talk about him and the word. Someone said by the way I am acting that I have a form of godliness, but deny the power thereof. I have been having demonic powers trying to work in my life sleep paralysis, maybe witchcraft if marijuana is witchcraft like I was told. I keep calling out on him to be saved, but I truly need to know him. I need my heart softened and know that he isn't mad at me. I was taught so much hell fire and brimstone stuff and have been afraid of him and this has made it really hard to truly know Jesus. I ask that you would pray that the power of darkness be broken over my life (Satan and his demons). I need the gospel of Grace to hit my heart and help me no longer live in sin. I need to be addicted to Jesus instead of all these things that I have kept going back to. I need a true heart for Jesus.

The Bible tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB).

Firstly, let's address the issue of sin. You've mentioned smoking weed, watching inappropriate content, and having judgmental thoughts. God's word is clear: "Flee sexual immorality... you are bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's" (1 Corinthians 6:18, 20 WEB). And regarding judgmental thoughts, Jesus said, "Don't judge, so that you won't be judged" (Matthew 7:1 WEB).

It seems you're struggling with the idea that God is angry with you due to past teachings about hellfire and brimstone. Remember, God is love (1 John 4:8 WEB), and He desires a relationship with you. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 WEB).

You mentioned a form of godliness but denying its power. The Bible warns about this: "having a form of godliness, but denying its power. From these also turn away" (2 Timothy 3:5 WEB). True repentance leads to a change of heart and action.

Let's pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, interceding for Lealand. Lord, we ask that You soften his heart and reveal Your true nature to him. Help him to see You not as an angry God, but as a loving Father. We rebuke the spirits of addiction, lust, and judgment in Lealand's life. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we command these spirits to leave and never return. Lord, help Lealand to turn away from his sins and truly repent. Fill him with a desire to know You more and to live a life that pleases You. We claim the power of the Gospel of Grace over Lealand's life, in Jesus' name, amen."

Holy Spirit, Lord Jesus Christ, Father God please possess your child here that is pouring out their heart and admitting all of their sins, repenting and not understanding why evil keeps overtaking them. We know that the closer we get to God, Satan and his evil will try harder to tempt us and take us back. Stand strong as God's child and don't give up. If you backslide and sin, immediately repent. Get on your knees and say something like "Holy Spirit, please walk with me Lord Jesus Christ. I rebuke and denounce Satan and all of this evil that he and the demons are tempting me with in the name of Jesus Christ and by the blood Jesus Christ shed on Calvary for my sins. Be gone evil!"
The Lord our Father God will forgive us every time, but we must truly mean it every time we repent. It does not mean we will never sin again, for that is man's nature, however we must truly in our heart want these addictions and afflictions and evil to be removed from us and ask God earnestly every day to remove it. I myself have to pray everyday to remove my sins and selfishness and repent and it will be that way until we can join Jesus Christ our Father God in heaven when they come for us! Never give up! I ask you Holy Spirit, please strengthen this child's faith, grant them discernment, wisdom and strength to turn away and say "be gone evil, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and by the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ!' very time they are tempted, or every time they sin.
While there isn't a single verse explicitly stating "the closer we get to God the more Satan will come after us," the concept is strongly implied in the Bible, particularly in the story of Jesus' temptation in the wilderness where Satan intensely targeted Jesus after He had fasted and drawn closer to God (Matthew 4:1-11).
1 Peter 5:8:
"Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour." - This verse highlights Satan's active search for those who are devoted to God.
Ephesians 6:12:
"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of darkness, against evil spiritual forces in the heavenly places." - This verse emphasizes that our spiritual battle is against demonic forces, which become more intense as we grow closer to God.

Lord please be with us all and thank you for everyone that prays here together, And please I pray for all that cannot be with us that are suffering in wars and famine, facing death, illness, losing family members, and imprisonment. May we all lift them up, as well and let everyone feel your love, Peace and joy beyond all understanding.
