I need intimacy back in my marriage

Please Pray for me, that God will restore physical intimacy back into my marriage as we have not been intimate for over eight years. My wife has mental issues which she is taking medication for. I am not sure if this has caused her not feel intimate, we have four children who are all adults (still living at home) whenever I mention intimacy my wife seems uninterested. Also, consider 1 Corinthians 7:3-5 (WEB), which speaks about the importance of physical intimacy in marriage and the need for mutual consent.

However, it's crucial to acknowledge that her mental health may be affecting her desire for intimacy. Encourage her to seek professional help to manage her mental health issues better. Also, consider couples therapy to work through this challenge together.

Lastly, we gently rebuke the notion of demanding or rushing intimacy. Instead, focus on emotional connection, understanding, and open communication. As 1 Peter 3:7 (WEB) instructs husbands to "live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman, as to the weaker vessel," it's essential to approach this matter with care, understanding, and mutual respect.

Keep praying together about this, and do not hesitate to seek godly counsel. Trust that God is working in your marriage and that He desires for you both to have a fulfilling, intimate relationship.
