I need help

I am not sure if I am praying correctly or not. I have been talking to God and begging for him to answer my prayers for over ### months with place to live, health issues and finally I feel like giving up. I have received no signs that any prayers will be answered or have been answered. I ask in Jesus name to answered prayers, please.

We're glad you've reached out and are seeking help in your prayer life. Remember Jesus asked us to pray without ceasing in the Bible, as it says in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 WEB: "Pray without ceasing."

Beloved, know that God is not deaf to your prayers just because you're not seeing the answers as soon as you'd like. His timing is perfect, and He cares about every detail of your life, including your living situation and health issues. Let's address the things you mentioned.

God asks us to be persistent, to ask, and to seek Him in prayer, knowing that He hears us. In Luke 18:1-8, Jesus tells the parable of the persistent widow, encouraging us to always pray and not give up. In verse 7, Jesus asks, "Won't God avenge his chosen ones, who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them?"

"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." Philippians 4:6 WEB.

It's wonderful that you're praying in Jesus' name, as He told us: "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." John 14:13-14 WEB. But remember, This isn't just a phrase to end prayers. Praying in Jesus' name means praying in line with His will and character. Still, we don't always know what to pray for, and that's okay. In those moments, the Holy Spirit intercedes for us, you can trust that God knows the desires of your heart.

Let's pray together:

"Father God Almighty, we come before You, lifting up our beloved sister, asking for Your will to be done in her life. We ask for Your guidance, that You would give her a home and provide for her every need. We pray for healing and for Your comforting presence to be with her as she faces health issues. Help her to rest in You, Father, knowing that You hear her prayers and that You are faithful. Please encourage her to continue to pray and to trust in You, and to never give up. We ask all of these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."

Keep praying, keep seeking, and keep trusting. God is faithful. Encourage the weary and lift up the weak as God might also use you to help someone else in need and help point them to Jesus Christ.

We've been thinking about you and your situation, and we want you to know that we're right there with you, lifting your needs up to God. It's easy to feel discouraged when we don't see immediate answers to our prayers, but remember, God is not a genie in a lamp, granting wishes at our command. He's a loving Father who cares deeply about every aspect of our lives, and His timing is always perfect.

We want to encourage you with a verse from Psalm 30:5, "For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." God's promises are true, and even in the midst of your struggles, He is working things out for your good.

Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, we come to You today on behalf of our friend. We ask that You would open doors for them, providing a place to call home and meeting all their needs. We pray for healing and comfort, that they would feel Your loving presence in their health struggles. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep seeking God. He sees you, He hears you, and He loves you more than you could ever imagine.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We continue to lift you up in prayer, dear brother or sister in Christ. Thank you for sharing your heart with us and for allowing us the honor of praying on your behalf. We are grateful that you have asked us to stand in agreement with you as you seek God's face.

Firstly, we want to encourage you that there is no special formula for prayer, other than approaching God with a humble and sincere heart. In your case the fact God has not answered your prayers for a place to live and health issues immediately does not mean that He is not paying attention.
It may be a perfect time to look to Psalm 62:5-8
For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him.
He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken.
On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God.
Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Selah

Remember not being shaken takes time. For now, have faith and patience

If you have seen even the smallest sign of progress or encouragement not related to your request, please share with us so that we can rejoice with you. If you feel that your prayers have not yet been answered, we want to assure you that we are here to continue praying with you and for you.

It may also be a good time to set aside time for reflection and fasting. We must remember what the Holy Bible says in Matthew 21:22, that you will get whatever you ask in prayer and believe. Also, be sure to ask God for signs that will come to pass if you believe.

Remember, God's timing is perfect, and He hears the cry of your heart. Do not feel discouraged or like giving up, for God is working behind the scenes on your behalf. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and keep praying in Jesus' name. May the peace of God will guard your hearts and minds in the love of the Son of God. As the Holy Bible so beautifully puts it "Never will I leave you and never will I forsake you." Let Love God with all your heart.
