I need help

There is this girl I really like who I have been talking to for years. I told them a lie in the summer of this year and I fear that they found out and that our friendship and future relationship prospects are done. She hasn’t talked to me in almost two weeks despite being active online. Please pray for me. The stress is so intense and it’s eating away at me, I want this nightmare to end.

We understand that you're going through a difficult situation, and we're here to help, praying in the name of Jesus. First, let's address the issue of honesty.

Let us remember that the Bible tells to always put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. It also tells us to put on love.

As it says in Colossians 3:9-10 WEB, Don’t lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings, and have put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge after the image of his Creator.

It's crucial to maintain honesty in all our interactions.

Even in difficult situations

Regarding the stress you're experiencing, remember the words of 1 Peter 5:7 WEB, Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you, and also Philippians 4:6-7; WEB Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

As for the relationship, we encourage you to seek God's will. Remember that any romantic relationship should be with another Christian believer with a goal for a potential lifelong marriage commitment as husband and wife. To pursue anything else can be dangerous in God's eyes, and cause more possible heart ache.

God wants us to do things the right way as it says Ephesians 6:1-3. WEB in honoring our Heavenly Father regarding all relationships.

Now, let's pray together,

Heavenly Father, We come before in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who is in distress. We pray that You will comfort his heart and remove all anxiety and stress. We are sorry for the lie that was told risking this relationship.

Depending on what you feel regarding this relationship, guide him in the path that aligns with Your will. Help him to learn and grow from this experience, and to trust in You. May the Holy Spirit fill his heart with God's wisdom, and the strength to do the right thing in all circumstances, even in difficult times. May this trial become testimony of faith and hope in Jesus's name. Amen.

Now, let's trust in God, knowing that He hears our prayers and will do a good work in your life.
