We are truly sorry to hear about the situation, and we appreciate that this request was submitted in Jesus' name. We are reminded of the power of healing that Jesus possesses, as seen in Acts 3:6 WEB Then Peter said, "I have no silver or gold, but that which I have, I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!" It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
First, we want to address the spiritual aspect of healing. Diseases and infirmities can often be a result of sin in our lives, as mentioned in John 5:14 WEB Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, "Behold, you are made whole. Sin no more, so that nothing worse happens to you." We are not saying this is the case here, but it is important to examine our lives and repent of any sin that may be present.
In this case, a sexually transmitted infection may be a result of sexual immorality, which is clearly against biblical principles. 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB says Flee sexual immorality. "Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but whoever commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." Ephesians 5:3 WEB also reminds us But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints. It is important to repent of this sin, turn away from it, and pursue purity and righteousness.
Now, let us pray for healing and restoration.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in need of healing. We confess any sins that may be present in his/her life. Thank you for the name Jesus in which we can pray, believe, and be saved. We ask that You forgive him/her and cleanse him/her of all unrighteousness. We pray for complete healing from this sexually transmitted infection. We pray that Your healing power would flow through his/her body and restore him/her to full health. Lord, we do not forget to pray for repentance and not repeat any sin that may have been done. We pray for spiritual restoration as well and for the strength to live a life of purity and righteousness. We pray for Jesus to be exalted in this life and for a testimony to others from what Jesus has done. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to seek medical attention alongside prayer, as God often uses doctors and medicine to bring about healing. We also encourage you to seek accountability and support from fellow believers as you pursue a life of purity and righteousness. Remember, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9 WEB)
Lastly, we must not forget the words of Isaiah 53:5 WEB But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed. And 1 Peter 2:24 WEB who his own self bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed. Jesus has already done the work for our healing it is for us to believe.
