Lealand Wray, we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's mercy and grace as you turn away from your old self and towards a life transformed by Christ. We commend you for recognizing the futility of trying to "fix" yourself and the importance of repenting from the sins you've mentioned, including intellectual pride, sexual sin such as pornography and masturbation, idolatry, doubt, unbelief, greed, lying, and coveting.
Firstly, we must acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved and have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to intercede for Lealand. We thank You for the conviction in their heart and the desire to turn away from their sins. Lord, we ask that You shower Your mercy and grace upon Lealand. Help them to cast away all idols, pride, doubt, and unbelief. Give them the strength to overcome sexual sin and to walk in purity.
Father, we ask that You draw Lealand closer to You. Soften their heart to receive the Gospel and the true saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Help them to understand that it is not by their own efforts or rule-keeping that they are saved, but by Your grace through faith in Jesus. As it is written in Ephesians 2:8-9 (WEB), "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast."
Lord, help Lealand to become a new creation in You, transformed by the renewing of their mind. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Savior. Amen.
Lealand, continue to meditate on God's Word and seek His face. Remember, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). We encourage you to stay steadfast in your faith and to pursue holiness, as He who called you is holy (1 Peter 1:15-16 WEB).
We will continue to pray for you, Lealand, as you journey in faith and repentance, seeking a true and saving relationship with Jesus Christ.
