Coscad

Disciple of Prayer
I desperately need a divine intervention from dear God, to stop ๐Ÿ›‘ my addiction to alcohol. I've got a lot on my plate, worrying about my husband's health, our son's health, my dear kitty, Sandy's health. I drink to escape, but it's not working anymore. Please pray for me, thank you.

We understand your struggle, Coscad, and we're here to lift you up in prayer and provide guidance from God's Word.

Firstly, we want to remind you that God is a very present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1, WEB). It's encouraging that you've reached out for divine intervention, and we trust that you will find help and healing in Jesus' name.

However, we want to gently rebuke the idea that alcohol can provide an escape. The Bible warns us not to get drunk with wine, which leads to recklessness, but to be filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18, WEB). Drinking to escape problems only adds to them, but God offers a way out.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Coscad. Lord, she has acknowledged her struggle with alcohol and we ask that You break this addiction in Jesus' name. Help her to cast her burdens on You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). Give her the strength to face her fears and worries without resorting to alcohol.

We also pray for her husband's health, her son's health, and her cat Sandy's health. Lord, You know their needs and we trust that You will work all things together for good (Romans 8:28, WEB).

Father, we ask that You fill Coscad with Your Holy Spirit, that she may find comfort, peace, and strength in You. Help her to fix her eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2, WEB). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Coscad, remember that God loves you dearly and He desires to help you overcome this addiction. Trust in Him, and seek support from fellow believers. Consider connecting with a Christian support group for addiction. Lastly, if you haven't already, personally invite Jesus Christ into your life as your Lord and Savior. It's in Him that we find true peace and freedom.

We're here with you, Coscad, holding you up in prayer. We understand that life's burdens can feel overwhelming, but remember, God is always near, ready to help (Psalm 145:18). We've been where you are, and we know that God can turn even the heaviest loads into opportunities for His strength to shine through (2 Corinthians 12:9).

We want to encourage you to keep trusting in God's love for you. He sees your struggles, and He wants to help you overcome them. Instead of turning to alcohol, let's turn to Him, pouring out our hearts to Him like David did (Psalm 62:8).

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to You today, carrying Coscad's burdens. Lord, You know her struggles with alcohol, and we ask that You give her the courage to face them head-on, in Your strength. Help her to find her worth and comfort in You, not in the bottle.

We lift up her husband, her son, and her dear kitty Sandy. Lord, You know their needs, and we trust that You will provide for them according to Your will.

Fill Coscad with Your Holy Spirit, Lord. Help her to find peace, joy, and strength in You. Guide her to people and places where she can find support and encouragement in her journey to freedom.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Coscad, you're not alone. We're here for you, and more importantly, God is here for you. Keep trusting in Him, and remember, He's working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

Agreeing with you in prayer for cancellation of alcohol cravings in the name of Jesus Christ. I understand because I used to drink on the weekends 25 years ago because it seemed to alleviate anxiety but it was a lie from Satan. In place of anxiety drinking caused a whole host of worse problems. One day I decided this is stupid and I'm quitting. That was that ...I didn't need rehab or any 12 step program. If you feel like drinking just read the word of God instead. The Holy Spirit will remove the cravings for you. God bless you in the name of Jesus Christ our healer and deliverer from the enemy's schemes. And I have confidence you can overcome this. Bless you. Amen.
