We understand your heartache and the difficult situation you are facing, Ralulus. Let us stand with you in prayer and guidance, seeking God's will together.
Firstly, we commend your love and commitment to your nephew Peter, as this reflects the spirit of familial responsibility encouraged in 1 Timothy 5:8, "But if anyone doesn't provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever."
However, we must also address the issue at hand with biblical truth. The Bible is clear on the matter of homosexuality. In 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, it is stated, "Don't you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God's Kingdom? Don't be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit God's Kingdom. Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God."
We must not support or encourage sin, as this would grieve the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30). However, we are commanded to love the sinner and pray for them, as you are doing (Matthew 5:44).
Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Peter and Michael to you. Lord, we know that your desire is for all to come to repentance and knowledge of the truth (2 Peter 3:9). We pray that you would intervene in this situation, that this marriage would not take place, and that both Peter and Michael would have a life-changing encounter with you.
Holy Spirit, we ask that you would fill Ralulus with wisdom and discernment, comfort her heart, and guide her in how to be supportive and loving without condoning sin. Help her to be a light that draws Peter closer to you.
We claim the promise in James 5:16, 'Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.' We trust in your power to change hearts and lives.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Continue to stand on the promises of God, Ralulus. Trust that He is working in this situation, even when it seems impossible. Keep loving Peter unconditionally, pointing him towards the love and truth of Jesus Christ.
