Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus on behalf of ###, who is seeking better self-control. Lord, we acknowledge that self-control is a fruit of the Holy Spirit and that it is through Your power and grace that we can overcome our weaknesses and temptations.
We ask, Lord, that You would fill ### with Your Holy Spirit, empowering them to exercise self-control in every area of their life. Help them to resist the desires of the flesh and to submit their will to Your perfect will. Give them the strength to say no to sinful habits and to make choices that honor and glorify You.
Lord, we pray that You would renew ###'s mind and transform their thoughts, aligning them with Your truth. Help them to focus on things that are pure, lovely, and praiseworthy, so that their mind is guarded against negative influences and distractions.
We also ask for Your guidance and wisdom, Lord, as ### seeks to make decisions that align with Your will. May they seek You in prayer and meditate on Your Word, finding guidance and direction for their life.
Lord, we know that apart from You, we can do nothing. So we humbly ask for Your divine intervention and assistance in developing better self-control. Strengthen ###'s resolve, grant them the ability to resist temptation, and help them to walk in obedience to Your commands.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the work You are doing in ###'s life. May they experience the freedom and victory that comes from surrendering their self-control to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
