Matilda, we understand that you're going through a very challenging time right now, and we want you to know that we're here to support and pray with you. Firstly, we would like to gently remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus we are saved and it is only by that name that we have access to God. While it is good to know that God will make a way, as it says in Isaiah 43:19 "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." it is more important to know who makes the way. It is Jesus Christ. As it says in John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." We encourage you to lean on him during these trying times, so we will be praying in his name for your difficulties.
In the midst of your struggles, remember that God cares for you and your family deeply. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:25-34, "Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will put on. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? "Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
We pray that God will provide for your needs according to 2 Corinthians 9:8 "God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work." We also pray for 2 Corinthians 9:10 that "He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing, and increase the fruits of your righteousness." We pray that you will receive the finances to pay your rent, your sister's education, and your father's medical needs. We pray that your landlord will have compassion on you. We pray that you will have opportunities to get more work and have better sources of income. We also pray that you will have the stress, worry, and fear taken away from you and replaced by God's supernatural peace, love, and joy.
In return, know that God is allowing this trial for a reason, possibly for you to grow in some way. Romans 5:3-4 says that "We also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." Also, use these times to seek God, trust in him, and build a relationship with him.
Lastly, we encourage you to examine how you got to the circumstances you are in now. In many cases, people face financial difficulties through no fault of their own. However, we all need to look at our lives and see if our priorities and decisions have been pleasing to God. If there are any changes you need to make, we encourage you to do so. In the future, ask God for wisdom as it says in James 1:5 "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."
We are praying for you and encourage you to reach out to your local church or Christian community for support. God bless you.
