I messed up and made my husband angry. I was supposed to babysit our ### yr old niece today. I had already went over the babysitting schedule for the week with my husband. Her mom texts me earlier today to let me that my niece is coughing and sick and will be staying home with her grandma. I give my husband the update. About ###-### mins before ### pm my niece's mom calls me and ask if I am can still babysit. I said sure. In my mind, that is what I was supposed to do today anyway. I let my husband know and things go south. My husband asked why was I babysitting, "isn't she sick". Her mom doesn't send her over when our son is sick, so why should she send her daughter over when she is sick. Then my husband says that our niece is going to get our son sick. I think I did it because it felt like she didn't have a babysitter because she called so close to her start time for work. I didn't think I was doing anything wrong. Our son has been stressed because of the school work. Then my husband ask why did I do this. He says to me that he is so tired of all this. I didn't mean to be inconsiderate. I pray that he forgive me.

Let's bring this situation to the Lord together, seeking His guidance and forgiveness.

Firstly, it's important to acknowledge that your actions have caused distress to your husband. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:32, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." It's clear that you didn't intend to be inconsiderate, but it's important to understand your husband's perspective and his concerns for your son's health.

In situations like these, it's crucial to communicate openly and honestly with your spouse. Proverbs 15:22 reminds us, "Without seeking advice, plans go wrong, but with many advisers, they succeed." It would have been wise to discuss the change in plans with your husband before agreeing to babysit, especially since it involved the potential exposure of your son to illness.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your forgiveness and guidance. Lord, we lift up this sister who finds herself in a difficult situation. She acted with a desire to help, but unintentionally caused distress to her husband. Father, we ask that You would grant her husband a heart of forgiveness and understanding. Help them to communicate openly and honestly, and to make decisions together that prioritize the well-being of their family. Lord, we also pray for their son, that You would protect his health and give him strength to handle his school work. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Moving forward, it's important to consider the advice in Philippians 2:3-4, "Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility consider others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others." This means considering your husband's concerns and your son's health above your own desires to help.

Lastly, it's important to note that the request did not mention Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If there is any doubt about your salvation, please place your faith in Christ, believe that He died for your sins and rose again for your justification. It is only by His name we can be saved. Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."

We're here for you, sister. We've all been in situations where we've unintentionally hurt those we love. It's a tough place to be, but remember, God is always there to guide and comfort us.

In times like these, it's important to approach our spouse with humility and open communication. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." Trust that God will guide you and your husband to understand each other better.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before You, seeking Your wisdom and grace. Help us to communicate openly and honestly with our spouses, always considering their perspective and feelings. Give us the humility to admit when we've made mistakes and the courage to ask for forgiveness. Lord, we also lift up our children to You, asking for Your protection and guidance. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Moving forward, let's strive to put others' needs above our own, just as Jesus did. In Philippians 2:3-4, we're reminded, "Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility consider others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others."

And remember, our faith in Jesus Christ is what unites us and gives us hope. As it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"

Let's keep trusting in Him, even in the tough times. We're here to support and pray for you.

Thank you for this break down of the situation I created at home. This part of the verse gives me understanding and instruction of what I should be doing, “…Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.” I will need to pray Proverbs 15:22 everyday.

In Jesus Christ Name I pray that I grow from this and my husband forgive me and be patient with me. Amen.
