'I Know What My Bible Says!' - John 9:30-33

"Why, that's very strange!" the man replied [to the Jewish authorities. "Jesus] healed my eyes, and yet you don't know where he comes from? We know that God doesn't listen to sinners, but he is ready to hear those who worship him and do his will. Ever since the world began, no one has been able to open the eyes of someone born blind. If this man were not from God, he couldn't have done it."

Key Thought​

The healed man reminds the authorities that his "Bible" (the Scriptures) and his experience line up: Jesus has to be from God because only someone from God could give him this gift of healing. One of the greatest tools we have to lead others to Christ is our own story about how God's promises in Scripture and our experience in life line up. Those who are open to the truth will be blessed. Unfortunately, some folks are just like these religious authorities; they're not going to believe no matter what happens. So let's share our story with folks when we are given the opportunity and trust that God will use our story to touch hearts that are open.

Today's Prayer​

Gracious God, my Abba Father, please help me to recognize the opportunities you give me to share the story of how Jesus has blessed my life. Give me eyes to see and ears to hear when that moment comes. Thank you for blessing me in so many ways and thank you for being so faithful to your promises. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Yes, Jesus does hear those who do His will and obey HIs word. The blind man was right and he knew that Jesus was the Son of the Living God. Praise the Lord.

Yes, Jesus does hear those who do His will and obey HIs word. The blind man was right and he knew that Jesus was the Son of the Living God. Praise the Lord.

The blind, the lame and the sick came to Jesus for healing and mercy. All of them were helped and healed because they believe in the Lord. Today if anyone comes to Him will be saved too and be delivered from anything satan has brought to their life. Praise the Lord.

Yes, it is so true that God hears those who honor and and praise His name. Let us all follow this wonderful example to belief, trust and see the wonders Jesus is doing in our midst. Unbelievers will question everything we do or what Gods word says, but if we just pray for them and ask Jesus for salvation of their souls, Jesus will answer with blessing.
