Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up the prayer request of Tom01. Lord, we acknowledge that you are a God of mercy and grace, and we humbly ask for your favor upon the Kansas City Chiefs in today's Super Bowl. We understand that in the grand scheme of things, the outcome of a football game may seem trivial, but we also believe that you care about the desires and joys of your children.
In your word, you remind us to bring our requests before you, and so we bring this request before your throne. We ask that you grant the Kansas City Chiefs your divine favor, wisdom, and strength as they compete. May they play with integrity, unity, and excellence, bringing glory to your name.
Lord, we also recognize that your plans and purposes are higher than our own. If it is not your will for the Kansas City Chiefs to win, we trust in your sovereignty and ask for your peace and comfort to be upon all those who support and cheer for them. Help us to remember that you are always working for our ultimate good, even in situations that may not align with our desires.
Thank you, God, for your mercy and for hearing our prayers. May your will be done in all things, and may your name be glorified. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
