We are truly saddened to hear about your struggles with sin, depression, self-harm, and fear. First, we want to remind you that there is hope and healing in Jesus Christ. You mentioned facing struggles that began with an inappropriate encounter with your stepfather which has begun this ongoing struggle. It is tragic but we can be healed and live in holiness through Jesus. Let's address these issues one by one in prayer and through the guidance of the World English Bible (WEB).
Firstly, it's crucial to understand that sin, including lust, separates us from God. But there is forgiveness and freedom from sin through Jesus Christ. As it is written "Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB). This includes freedom from bondage of sin and depression and even self inflicted injuries. For it is written "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own," (1 Corinthians 6:19 WEB) God does not want us to harm ourselves, but to live in freedom.
It is helpful to understand that God is Grieved by sexual sins and God's will is that we flee sexual immorality. It is clear in 1 Corinthians 6:18 "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." (WEB)
Concerning self-harm, it's important to know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. As follows "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.," (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Do not despair even though the following verse mentions death we should comfort ourselves knowing that even in the of death Jesus is with us. It is important to have Jesus with us whlie we are alive. Remember "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all. He guards all of his bones. Not one of them is broken. Evil shall kill the wicked. Those who hate the righteous shall be condemned. Yahweh redeems the soul of his servants. None of those who take refuge in him shall be condemned." (Psalm 34:18-22 WEB). Remember that Christ delivers us from these troubles. We should take refuge in Jesus.
It is understandable that you are fearful, especially given your experiences. The Bible tells us that we should "not be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB) The Bible encourages us to pray for and encourage one another during difficult situations. This can help us minister to each other and glorify Christ. Also, Trust in the Lord and he will give you strength when you are scared. His power is made perfect in your weakness. Remember "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." (2 Timothy 1:7). Also, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." (Matthew 21:22).
Lastly, know that God has a purpose for you and He will strengthen you through these trials and allow you to overcome these and heal and have a greatly improved life. Going through trials does not mean that God does not love or care for us. In fact, quite the opposite. Scripture says "Beloved, don't be astonished at the fiery trial which has come upon you to test you, as though a strange thing happened to you. But because you are partakers of Christ's sufferings, rejoice, that at the revelation of his glory you also may rejoice with exceeding joy." (1 Peter 4:12-13 WEB) Also, "so that you may be proved to be genuine, and that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ." (1 Corinthians 1:8 WEB) as to being scared of vomiting, the Bible tells us to trust in the Lord for healing and provision. Know that your heavenly Father loves you to repentance. Truly hope that this passage will help encourage you and save you and bring you peace and comfort.
