I just started a new job and ...

I just started a new job and I have been so nervous about it. I was let go almost a year ago from another job not within the same field and ever since I feel at loss and don’t have confidence in myself. I know I can do well within this position. I’m looking for prayers to help me find confidence and succeed within this position and also to make new friends.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear friend ### who has just started a new job. Lord, You know the nervousness and lack of confidence that ### is feeling after being let go from a previous job. We ask that You fill ### with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and grant the confidence needed to excel in this new position.

Father, Your Word tells us that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. We pray that ### will lean on Your strength and not on personal understanding. Help ### to trust in You with all their heart and acknowledge You in all their ways, so that You may direct their paths.

Lord, we also ask that You bring new friends and supportive colleagues into ###'s life. Surround ### with people who will encourage and uplift them. May ### find favor in the eyes of supervisors and coworkers, and may this new job be a place of growth and blessing.

Stop and take the time daily to tell God Thank You. Every morning when you wake up, throughout your day, and before you go to sleep, make it a habit to say, GOD THANK YOU! Tell God Thank You throughout the day for his unexpected blessings, for His love, goodness, mercy, and kindness that He shows toward you. Thank God for the prayers He is answering, God's divine appointments, and all that He is doing in your life and the lives of those you love and care about. Tell God Thank You even when you don’t understand why you are going through the trials, troubles, and tribulations that come your way. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Tell God Thank You!

This habit of thankfulness and appreciation to God has incredible power! It will change your life.
