Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with heavy hearts, lifting up Alex to Your loving care. Lord, You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We ask that You surround Alex with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Father, we pray that Alex feels Your presence and knows that he is never alone, for You have promised never to leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).
Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in Alex's life. Please guide him away from these dark thoughts and fill his heart with hope and love. Help him to see the value and purpose that You have placed in his life. Your Word tells us that You have plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). May Alex hold onto this promise and find comfort in Your words.
We also lift up Carrie, Alex's mom, to You. Grant her strength and wisdom as she navigates this difficult situation. May she feel Your comforting presence and trust in Your unfailing love. Help her to be a source of support and encouragement to Alex.
Father, we ask for Your healing touch upon Alex's mind and spirit. Send caring individuals into his life who can offer support, counsel, and love. May Your light shine brightly in his life, dispelling the darkness and bringing him back to a place of peace and joy.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
