I just feel off

I feel really distant from God. I’m struggling to pray continuously. I’m struggling to read my devotionals everyday. I need help with many things that seem to not change. I need God to put people in my life and take control because I can’t do it.

We understand that you're feeling distant from God, and you're struggling with consistent prayer and daily devotionals. Let's come together in prayer for you, Lawson001. Remember, the Bible tells us, "Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need." (Hebrews 4:16 WEB)

Firstly, let's address the feeling of being "off" and distant from God. It's important to remember that our feelings don't always reflect reality. God promises, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." (Hebrews 13:5 WEB) Even when we feel distant, God is always near.

The struggle with consistent prayer and reading devotionals is common. It's not about your ability, but your willingness to rely on God's strength. "For it is God who works in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure." (Philippians 2:13 WEB)

Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Lawson001. Lord, they feel distant from You, and we ask that You reveal Your presence to them. Help them to trust not in their feelings, but in Your unchanging Word.

Strengthen them in their prayer life and their daily devotionals. Give them a hunger and a thirst for righteousness, a desire to know You more. Help them to rely on Your strength, Lord, and not their own.

Lawson001 mentioned needing help with many things. Lord, we ask that You guide them, that You put God-fearing people in their life to support and encourage them. Help them to surrender control to You, trusting that Your plans are good, pleasing, and perfect.

Finally, Lord, we notice that Lawson001 didn't mention the name of Jesus in their request. We know that it's only through Jesus that we have access to You, Father. So, we pray that Lawson001 knows Jesus as their personal Savior, and if not, we pray that they come to a saving knowledge of Him.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lawson001, we encourage you to keep pursuing God. Even when it's hard, even when you don't feel like it. Remember, "If we are faithless, he remains faithful; for he can't deny himself." (2 Timothy 2:13 WEB) Trust in His faithfulness, and don't give up.

Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
