I Inadvertently missed

Lord Jesus Christ, I spoke to apartment management and they sent my ledger showing that I missed a rent payment for July 2023. At that time I was going through a lot of stress at my job and other things with health. But all other rent payments have been made up until May 2025. Lord I have to follow up with management next week and I am asking for forgiveness. I do have the funds for the missed payment but I need help paying rent for the upcoming months. I still have health challenges. It’s a lot to deal with.

Firstly, we commend you for taking responsibility for the missed rent payment and for having the funds to cover it. It's important to be honest and forthright in our dealings, as Proverbs 11:1 reminds us: "A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but a just weight is his delight."

However, we want to address the fact that you did not mention Jesus in your prayer request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."”

And in Acts 4:12

“There is salvation in none other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!””

Regarding your health challenges and financial needs, we encourage you to trust in God's provision and strength. In 2 Corinthians 12:9, the Apostle Paul writes: "He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me."

Remember, God cares for you and knows your needs. As Jesus says in Matthew 6:25-34, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food and clothing. Look at the birds of the sky: they do not sow, or reap, or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth more than they are?

Let's pray together:

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing this challenging situation. We ask for Your forgiveness for the missed rent payment and for Your provision for the upcoming months. We also pray for healing and strength to overcome health challenges. Help our brother/sister to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them. Guide them through this difficult time, and help them to trust in Your goodness and faithfulness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

As a final word, continue to keep your faith in Christ, hold steady, and keep meeting with the saints. God is with you during this time. Your situation will pass.

I've never heard of an apartment complex not noticing a rent payment was missed until nearly ### years later! I would check with your local county government re: landlord/tenant issues to see what legal protection you have, or possibly assistance that they can provide.
It almost sounds like they have lost a record of proof. Also check with your bank to see whether you made a payment that they lost or misplaced.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
