If you are a believer, you are already filled with the Holy Spirit. There is a baptism of the Holy Spirit which can result in speaking in tongues. You can ask for the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and it shall be given to you. 

The best way to activate the Holy Spirit in your life is to do what Jesus tells us to do. What did He tell us to do? Here is on thing He told us to do; "heal the sick, cleanse, the lepers, raise the dead, and cast out devils".  Jesus could not tell us to do these things unless we were able to.  Reaping a harvest requires planting seed in your life. Just trying to do what Jesus said to do is planting a seed. 

Jesus said His people could have what they say, but instead,they say what they have. 
Matthew 17:20
He replied, "Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.

Speak to the problem, it is speaking to you already.
 
 
Jesus never said to "pray for the sick". Jesus said to heal the sick.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall (this could be a command?) lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

In the name of Jesus, I command the pain in my leg to leave my body, now. My leg is now healthy, well, healed, and whole.  Thank you Jesus.

Father, I boldly come to your throne of mercy with this child’s need. I ask in your mighty power to meet this child’s need. I pray that this child of yours may experience your great love and care for them today. Give them eyes to see your hand of mercy at work in their life. Awaken all their senses to the realization that you will never leave them or forsake them. In Jesus Christ’s Name I pray, Amen
