We have His peace, we have His advice to not be fearful or let our hearts be troubled.
He could not tell us to do it if we were unable to do it.
God does not punish anyone anymore. Jesus took "all" of our punishment onto Himself. The punishment we deserved for our sins, Jesus took the punishment and all the sins of all mankind and they were nailed to the cross, with Jesus. There are consequences of our misdeeds these days, but the consequences are not punishment by God. We reap what we sow. But even reaping what we sow is not as severe as it could be, because of God's grace. Every circumstance we encounter in this life has a victory at the end of it, already. Jesus took that circumstance and called it His circumstance. All we have to do is have faith in the promises of the Word of God, and trust that His promises shall come to pass.
