i have question that has been bothering mi for some time. 4 yrs ago i was approached by a pastor from the usa in Uganda ,he was called pastor Daniel and he told mi something i wanted to confirm from you. He asked mi a Question what do u need to go to heaven ? i answered him you have to believe in jesus Christ. He said i was correct! And he asked mi again what if you're sinner but believe in Jesus Christ! will you go to heaven or hell! i said you will go to hell since you're sinner. But he said I was wrong! that once you believe in Jesus Christ you will go to heaven even though you're a sinner. so am confused and would like to get your guidance on this matter!

Read 1 John. Also Romans 7

When you believe in Jesus Christ you are born again. We still sin even though we do not want to sin. We confess our sins (see 1 John 1.9) and by the grace of God and the working of His Holy Spirit we mature and grow in Christ but until we die or the Lord Jesus comes back we will not be free from sin completely. We are saved by grace. Thank God.

We are all sinners. We are sinners because Adam disobeyed and ate the fruit and we are sinners because we do sin full things as individuals. However those of us who believe that Jesus is the Son of God and he died for our sinners will be saved as long as we profess with our mouths we believe that he is the Son of God and we quit purposely engaging in sin.

When you are saved, you become a new in Christ and you leave the old ways behind.

However, you have some people that don't do this and they continue with the evil lifestyles they had before even though they profess they believe in Christ.

You cannot continue in your old ways of sin and be saved. So if your a thief and you never stop stealing and you profess you believe in Jesus Christ. You are not saved because you never gave up your sins and turned to Christ.

We will always be sinners because we are decedants of Adam and that means it is within our nature to sin. However there are those of us who gave up sin and followed Christ. We are not willfully sinning. Yet, there are some that feel like the sins we engage in whatever they are don't have to be stopped to be save and that is erroneous.
