Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus on behalf of our anonymous friend who is struggling with a drinking attitude that is affecting their life, including their professional life. Lord, we acknowledge that this is a battle they have been facing for years, and they have experienced moments of victory followed by moments of relapse.
But we know, Lord, that You are a God of deliverance and transformation. Your Word says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" We believe that through the power of Jesus, our friend can experience true freedom from this addiction.
Father, we ask that You would intervene in their life and break the chains of addiction that have held them captive. Give them the strength and determination to resist the temptation to drink and to turn away from those things that lead them astray. Help them to rely on Your grace and seek Your guidance in every moment of weakness.
We pray, Lord, that You would surround our friend with a supportive community of believers who can encourage and uplift them in their journey towards sobriety. May they find accountability partners who will walk alongside them, offering love, support, and prayer.
We also ask for Your healing touch upon any areas of their life that have been negatively impacted by this addiction. Restore their relationships, their professional life, and any other areas that have been affected. May they experience Your redemption and restoration in every aspect of their life.
Lord, we know that nothing is impossible for You. We believe that You can bring about a complete transformation in our friend's life. We thank You in advance for the victory that You will bring and for the testimony of Your faithfulness that will be shared through their life.
