We understand your desire for children and the pain you're experiencing after eight years of marriage and multiple IVF attempts. We want to stand with you in prayer and speak God's truth into your situation.
Firstly, let's remember that children are a heritage from the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is his reward (Psalm 127:3). We serve a God who is able to open barren wombs, as He did for Sarah (Genesis 21:1-2), Hannah (1 Samuel 1:19-20), and Elizabeth (Luke 1:57-58).
However, we also want to encourage you to find your contentment and identity in Christ alone. In His sovereignty, God may choose to withhold the gift of children, but even in that, He promises to be enough. As Paul says, "Not that I speak in respect to lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it" (Philippians 4:11).
Let's pray together:
*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who longs for children. Lord, You know her heart's desire, and You understand her pain. We ask that You would sovereignly work in her situation. If it is Your will, Lord, please open her womb and bless her with children. But above all, help her to find her contentment and satisfaction in You alone. Comfort her with Your love and presence. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*
Lastly, we want to gently remind you that it's crucial to keep Jesus at the center of your life and prayers. It's only through His name that we have access to God (John 14:6), and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ for your salvation.
