I have been dating this guy for two months now and found out that he highly values politics. We got into a disagreement because he refuses to date anyone whose political views are different because of previous experiences. I think politics are important and agree on many things but I believe having faith is more important than anything else. It almost feels like he is idolizing it and basing his way of living off of politics.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister in Christ who is seeking Your guidance and wisdom in her relationship. Lord, she has been dating a man for two months and has discovered that he places a high value on politics, to the point where it affects his willingness to continue their relationship due to differing political views.

Father, we know that while politics can be important, our faith in You and our relationship with You should always come first. We ask that You open his heart to see that faith in You is the foundation upon which all other aspects of life should be built. Help him to understand that unity in Christ is more important than any political alignment.

Lord, we pray for wisdom and discernment for our sister. Guide her in her conversations and interactions with him. Help her to communicate her beliefs with love and grace, and to stand firm in her faith. We ask that You soften his heart and remove any idols that may be taking precedence over his relationship with You.

As Your Word says in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." May both of them seek Your kingdom first and foremost in their lives. We trust that You will lead them according to Your perfect will.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You or breaks Your heart. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
