We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles of your nephew, Adrian Tom. Let's come together in prayer and seek God's intervention in his life.
Firstly, we acknowledge that addiction is a serious issue, and it's important to address it with both love and truth. The Bible tells us, "Do not be drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:18 WEB). This applies not only to alcohol but to any substance that alters our minds and takes control away from the Holy Spirit.
Let us pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Adrian Tom. Lord, You know the struggles he is facing with drugs and alcohol. We ask that Your Holy Spirit convicts him of his need for You and gives him the strength to overcome these addictions. We pray for his complete healing, both physically and spiritually. Help him to see the destructive path he is on and turn from it.
Lord, we also pray for his family. Comfort them and give them the wisdom and patience to support Adrian in love. Help them to be a light that guides him back to You. We know that You have a plan for Adrian's life, a plan for hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). We claim that promise for him today.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue to stand in the gap for Adrian. Remind him of God's love and the power of the Holy Spirit to transform his life. "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB).
Lastly, ensure that Adrian understands that true change comes from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. If he has not yet accepted Jesus as his Savior, encourage him to do so. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and can experience true transformation (John 14:6 WEB).
