Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear friend in the seminary who is pursuing his calling to become a priest. We thank you for his dedication and desire to serve you wholeheartedly. Lord, we bring before you his struggle with smoking and vaping. We pray that you would intervene in his life and help him overcome this addiction.
Your Word reminds us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit , and we acknowledge that our friend's health is important for him to fulfill the calling you have placed upon his life. We ask that you would grant him the strength and determination to break free from this habit. Fill him with a deep conviction to prioritize his well-being, knowing that it will enable him to serve you more effectively.
Lord, we know that overcoming addiction is not easy, but we trust in your power to bring about transformation. We pray that you would surround our friend with a supportive community who will encourage and uplift him in this journey. May he find comfort and strength in your presence, knowing that you are with him every step of the way.
We rebuke any condemnation or discouragement that the enemy may try to bring upon our friend. Help him to understand that his worth and value as a priest are not determined by his weaknesses, but by your grace and the work of your Holy Spirit within him. May he find peace and assurance in knowing that you are able to use him mightily, despite his struggles.
Lord, we also pray for all those who are currently in seminaries and training to become priests. Pour out your Holy Spirit upon them, guiding and equipping them for the ministry you have called them to. May they be filled with wisdom, discernment, and a deep love for your Word.
We thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for your faithfulness. We trust that you will answer according to your perfect will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
